Fly-on-the-wall

Together with Anton, we have selected over a thousand photos from two decades to a final chronological selection of 379. The designed pages feature anecdotes handwritten by Anton, making the book personal. U2 & i takes you on a journey through series where the band is traveling in various locations around the world. Browsing through the book, you get the feeling that you are behind the camera in the desert next to the Joshua Tree or the Achtung Baby album recordings in the Hansa Ton studios in Berlin.
I think that the main strength SMEL brings to the projects we have done over many years is implementing a clear and strong structure, once that is in place, everything flows easier.

“When I first met anton I had one request… make me look tall, skinny, intelligent with a sense of humour. So you wanna look like me, was his reply.” - Bono, 8 april 2000
